ACCELERATE Research Group
The ACCELERATE (Advancing CardiometaboliC hEaLth Equity thRough trAnslaTional rEsearch) Research Group is situated within the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Founded by Dr. Joshua J. Joseph with only a few initial members, the group has grown to over 30 team members, who all aid in the mission to advance cardiometabolic health equity.
The group is guided by the shared vision to promote and advance health equity. At the basis of this goal are academic, community, government and industry (ACGI) partnerships. From this base, the group has acknowledged 4 necessary pillars: Health System to Community Interventions, Community-Based Participatory Research, Data Analytics, and Quality Improvement.
The research conducted by the ACCELERATE Research Group has been recognized nationally and internationally, including in USA Today and on Sirius XM Doctor Radio, CBS News, NBC News, ABC News and PBS Newshour.
